Could you provide a local family with a bottle of JUICE or SQUASH to keep the kids hydrated this Summer?
Many families in our local community of Ladywood live on or below the poverty line.
During the school Summer holidays families struggle as bills increase when the kids are at home, no free school meals are provided, and money needs to be spent on new school uniforms and supplies.
Birmingham Central Foodbank and Ladywood Community Project are aiming to provide 100 families with a food parcel over the school summer holidays to help relieve some of the financial burden.
Please help by donating a bottle of squash or a carton of fruit juice.
Donations can be dropped off in the trolleys in our BCC foyer
Birmingham Central Foodbank
Since opening Birmingham Central Foodbank in October 2011, we have fed almost 20,000 individuals; sadly we are still a much needed service in our city to those who are in need. We provide short-term assistance to those in need and so a Foodbank voucher entitles the recipient to 3-days’ worth of emergency tinned and dried food up to three times. There are currently nine Foodbanks in the city, with Birmingham Central being one of the largest and busiest. Our aim is to give those in need not just food, but hope; we always offer prayer at the Foodbank and seek to connect them to other services that can help improve their lives.
As the Foodbank is completely reliant on donations, this service would not be possible without the kind support we receive from BCC members, the public, local businesses and other local churches. Giving to Foodbank really does change lives! We would not be able to run this project without the dedication of our amazing volunteers and kind donators of money and food.
If you would like to volunteer at Foodbank, please leave your details at the Information Point on a Sunday or contact our community team via the BCC office.
Donations of food items can be dropped off at the BCC office reception during the week or in the church foyer before any of services OR at Resource Central on Wednesdays and Fridays between 10am and 1.30pm.
If you are in need of an emergency food parcel, please contact us on 0121 236 2997 to see if we are able to help you.

Baby Bank Central
Baby Bank Central was launched in March 2015 in response to the need in our local community. As the cost of living rises, people are increasingly being unable to cope with the financial stresses life lays upon them, including the huge costs of having a new baby.
We work closely with midwives, health visitors, social services, children's centres, pregnancy outreach workers and other professional groups in the Ladywood area to provide the essential equipment to families in need, ensuring that no baby starts life without these basic necessities.
If you would like to donate towards this project we're always in need of newborn nappies, bedding and moses baskets.
